What's the ONE thing I wish I knew when I started teaching?
What it was like to be a PARENT.
When I first started teaching as a music and voice educator over 20 years ago in New York City, I LOVED working with kids but NOT parents! Although I was confident as a teacher, I didn't know how to communicate the "HARD STUFF".
For me, the hard stuff was many of the questions and logistics around payments, billing, missed lessons, and parents who had strong opinions about HOW I was teaching.
